The current record is €38,461,200.95, won on Wheel of Wishes — part of Games Global’s WowPot! network — on 20 December 2023. That is close to double the previous record of €19,430,723.60, set on Absolootly Mad: Mega Moolah at Napoleon Sports & Casino in Belgium on 27 April 2021.
Before WowPot!, most of the records belonged to Mega Moolah, released by Microgaming in 2006 and run by Games Global since it took over the Microgaming jackpot network in May 2022. NetEnt’s Mega Fortune (2009) held the record between 2011 and 2013.
Why “biggest jackpot” lists disagree with each other

Jackpots are paid in the currency of the player’s account, and most lists print those amounts side by side without converting them. The clearest case is the 30 January 2019 win at Zodiac Casino: the player in Canada was paid CA$20,059,287.27. Written as “over $20 million” it looks like the largest prize on the list — but Microgaming converted it to €13,328,028.16 for ranking, which places it below every euro win above it. The table below states the currency each prize was actually paid in.
There is a second reason the numbers disagree. Guinness World Records still lists Jon Heywood’s 6 October 2015 win at Betway (€17,879,645) as the largest jackpot payout in an online slot machine game. Two larger jackpots have been paid since, so “the world record” and “the largest payout ever” are currently two different figures.
Two rows carry a caveat. The 28 September 2018 Grand Mondial win is reported as €18,915,872.81 by some sources and €18,910,668.01 by others, so it appears as ≈€18.9m rather than a single invented figure. The 32Red prize was paid in pounds and no euro equivalent was published, so its exact position depends on the exchange rate used.
