Gates of Olympus overview

Gates of Olympus is a Pragmatic Play video slot set on Mount Olympus, with Zeus standing beside the reels. There are no fixed paylines: 8 or more matching symbols anywhere on the 6-reel, 5-row grid make a win, and the game is built around multiplier symbols that land at random.

If you have played Sweet Bonanza, the mechanics will feel familiar: the same 6×5 grid, the same pay-anywhere wins and tumbling reels. The difference is the multipliers, which account for most of the big wins in Gates of Olympus.

How to play Gates of Olympus

1. Set your stake. Minimum and maximum bets are configured by the casino, so they can differ between lobbies.
2. Spin. Any symbol that appears 8 or more times anywhere on the grid forms a win. Pragmatic Play says 8 to 30 matching symbols pay up to 50x the bet.
3. Tumble. Winning symbols disappear, new ones drop in to fill the gaps, and the sequence continues until no new win forms.

Multiplier symbols

Multiplier symbols can land in both the base game and free spins, with values up to 500x. A multiplier only counts on a winning spin, where it boosts the win. If the spin has no win, the multiplier does nothing.

Free spins

4 or more scatter symbols trigger the bonus game with 15 free spins. During the feature, whenever a multiplier symbol lands on a winning spin, its value is added to a running total multiplier, which is applied to that win. The total is not reset between free spins.

RTP, Ante Bet and maximum win

Gates of Olympus has an RTP of 96.50%, the same in the regular game, with the Ante Bet on and when buying the bonus. Ante Bet is an optional extra stake on each spin; the in-game info explains what it changes. The maximum win is 5,000x the bet, or 4,000x with Ante Bet on. RTP is a theoretical figure over a very large number of bets, not the result of one session (see our slots guide).

Gates of Olympus 1000 keeps the original’s gameplay: a 6×5 grid, 8 or more matching symbols anywhere to win, and tumbling wins. What changes:

• Multipliers from 2x to 1,000x on each multiplier symbol, added together at the end of a tumble sequence.
• 15 free spins for 4 or more scatters; 3 or more scatters during the bonus add 5 more.
• Bonus buy for 100x the bet.
• Maximum win 15,000x the bet (12,000x with Ante Bet on), RTP 96.50%.
