Crazy Time: How the Live Game Show Works, RTP, Odds and Bonus Games

October 16, 2026 Crazy Time: How the Live Game Show Works, RTP, Odds and Bonus Games

Crazy Time is a live casino game show made by Evolution and launched in July 2020. A presenter spins a large vertical money wheel with 54 segments: four kinds of number segment (1, 2, 5 and 10) and four bonus games (Coin Flip, Cash Hunt, Pachinko and Crazy Time). You bet on where the wheel will stop. Before each spin a Top Slot adds a multiplier to one bet spot, and that is where most of the game’s return comes from. Evolution publishes an RTP of 96.08%, which is the figure for the bet on 1; every other bet returns a little less. This guide explains how a round works, what each segment pays, how the bonus games play and what each bet costs.

How Crazy Time works, step by step

  1. Place your bets while the timer runs. There are eight bet spots: the numbers 1, 2, 5 and 10, and the four bonus games. You can bet on one spot or several.
  2. The Top Slot spins. Two reels above the wheel stop on a bet spot and a multiplier. If the wheel then lands on that spot, the multiplier is applied to it.
  3. The presenter spins the wheel. If it stops on a number you backed, you are paid at that number’s odds: 1:1 on 1, 2:1 on 2, 5:1 on 5 and 10:1 on 10, multiplied by the Top Slot multiplier if it matched.
  4. If it stops on a bonus game you backed, you play that bonus round. Only players with a bet on that bonus take part; everyone else’s bets on other spots lose that round.

The Crazy Time wheel: 54 segments

Chart of the 54 Crazy Time wheel segments by type, with the count, chance and RTP of each

Segment On the wheel Chance per spin Pays RTP of the bet
1 21 38.89% (1 in 2.6) 1:1 96.08%
2 13 24.07% (1 in 4.2) 2:1 95.95%
5 7 12.96% (1 in 7.7) 5:1 95.78%
10 4 7.41% (1 in 13.5) 10:1 95.73%
Coin Flip 4 7.41% (1 in 13.5) Bonus game 95.70%
Cash Hunt 2 3.70% (1 in 27) Bonus game 95.27%
Pachinko 2 3.70% (1 in 27) Bonus game 94.33%
Crazy Time 1 1.85% (1 in 54) Bonus game 94.41%

Nine of the 54 segments are bonus games, so a bonus round comes up on one spin in six, which is the figure Evolution gives for the game.

The four bonus games

Coin Flip

A coin with a red side and a blue side is flipped, and each side carries its own multiplier, set before the flip. You win the multiplier on the side that lands face up.

Cash Hunt

A large screen shows 108 multipliers, which are hidden behind symbols and shuffled. Each player picks a target before the timer ends and wins the multiplier behind it, so two players in the same round can win different amounts.

Pachinko

The presenter drops a puck down a wall of pegs into one of the multiplier slots along the bottom. If it lands on Double, every multiplier on the bottom row is doubled and the puck is dropped again.

Crazy Time

The presenter goes through a red door to a giant virtual wheel with three flappers, blue, green and yellow. Each player picks a flapper, and the wheel is spun. A Double or Triple segment multiplies every value on the wheel and the wheel spins again, so the round can build up several times before it settles.

In every bonus game, a Top Slot multiplier that matched the bonus is applied to it as well.

Crazy Time RTP: what each bet costs

Every bet has its own RTP, from 96.08% on the 1 down to 94.33% on Pachinko, so the house edge runs from 3.92% to 5.67% depending on where you put your chips. Two things about those figures are worth knowing.

  • The Top Slot carries a large part of the return. On the wheel alone, the 1 pays 1:1 on 21 of 54 segments, which returns 77.78% of the stake. The other 18.30 points of its 96.08% come from Top Slot multipliers. The same is true of every number: without the Top Slot, the 2 returns 72.22%, the 5 returns 77.78% and the 10 returns 81.48%.
  • Covering the whole wheel does not make it cheaper. The RTP of a set of bets is just the stake-weighted average of the RTPs in it. Equal stakes on all eight spots return 95.41%, the average of the eight figures, and you lose part of your stake on every spin.

The 96.08% is the RTP Evolution publishes for the game. The game’s help screen at your casino shows the figures for the version you are playing.

How often the bonus games come up

Bonus segments are spread unevenly, so the waits differ a lot. Any bonus comes up on one spin in six, but there is still a 16.2% chance of ten spins in a row without one. The Crazy Time segment itself is 1 in 54: there is a 36.4% chance it does not appear in 54 spins, a 15.4% chance it does not appear in 100 and a 2.4% chance it does not appear in 200. A bet on the Crazy Time bonus loses on 53 spins out of 54.

Is there a Crazy Time strategy?

No betting pattern changes the odds. The wheel and the Top Slot are random on every spin, and the RTP of each bet is fixed by the game. What you can choose is the price: the 1 is the cheapest bet at 96.08%, and Pachinko and Crazy Time are the most expensive. Bonus bets lose on most spins and pay out rarely, so they need a larger budget for the same playing time. Set a limit for the session before you start.

Crazy Time stats and results history

Several websites track Crazy Time results and show how often each segment has come up and how long ago the last Crazy Time bonus was. Those pages are a record of past spins. Each spin is independent, so a bonus that has not appeared for a long time is no more likely on the next spin, and a segment that has come up often is no less likely. Over many thousands of spins, the counts on those sites should settle close to the chances in the table above.

Where to play Crazy Time

Crazy Time is in the live casino of most operators that carry Evolution. 20Bet lists it at the front of its live lobby, BC.GAME carries it in its game-show tab with Funky Time, Crazy Coin Flip and Monopoly Live, and MegaPari includes it among its popular live tables. For the game that Crazy Time grew out of, see our Dream Catcher guide, for roulette with random multipliers, our Lightning Roulette guide, and for the rest of the live lobby, our live casino guide.

Play responsibly

Crazy Time is for players aged 18 and over. Every bet on the wheel has a house edge, and the bonus games pay out rarely. Decide on a budget before you play and stop when it is spent.

Crazy Time FAQ

What is Crazy Time?

A live casino game show made by Evolution and launched in July 2020. A presenter spins a 54-segment money wheel, and players bet on the numbers 1, 2, 5 and 10 or on four bonus games: Coin Flip, Cash Hunt, Pachinko and Crazy Time.

How does Crazy Time work?

You bet on one or more of eight spots before the wheel is spun. A Top Slot picks one spot and adds a multiplier to it. Numbers pay at their own odds (1:1 up to 10:1), and a bonus segment sends the players who backed it into that bonus game.

What is the RTP of Crazy Time?

Evolution publishes 96.08%, which is the RTP of the bet on 1. The other bets return 95.95% (2), 95.78% (5), 95.73% (10), 95.70% (Coin Flip), 95.27% (Cash Hunt), 94.41% (Crazy Time) and 94.33% (Pachinko).

How often does the Crazy Time bonus come up?

It has one segment out of 54, so it comes up once in 54 spins on average. There is a 15.4% chance it does not appear in 100 spins. Any of the four bonus games comes up on one spin in six.

What is the Top Slot in Crazy Time?

Two reels above the wheel that spin before every round and stop on one bet spot and a multiplier. If the wheel lands on that spot, its payout or bonus game is multiplied. Without it, the bet on 1 would return 77.78% instead of 96.08%.

Is there a Crazy Time strategy?

No. Every spin is random and each bet has a fixed RTP, so no pattern changes the odds. The cheapest bet is the 1 at 96.08%. Covering every spot does not help: equal stakes on all eight return 95.41%.

Can Crazy Time stats predict the next spin?

No. Results sites show what happened on past spins. Each spin is independent, so a segment that has not come up for a long time is no more likely on the next spin.
